Apple has already planned its September 2014 iPhone refresh, according to a hot new rumor from Japan. According to a monthly computer magazine in the Land of the Rising Sun, the phone will finally get an uber display.
The iPhone 6 (technically the eighth-generation iPhone) will reportedly sport a 5-inch display with a 440 PPI pixel density, exceeding the display clarity of many high-end smartphones today. The resolution is said to be 1920 x 1080 pixels.
MacFan Magazine (via Macotakara) claims Apple is aiming for a September 2014 launch. The phone will be marketed as the first one-hand operable “phablet.” Apple is striving to make the screen extremely thin, according to the magazine.
Apple is late to the big-screen party, but history has shown that the company prefers to wait a while longer to introduce its infinitely-better version.
